A grinder earns its place by being used every day. Ours have metal bodies, with nothing painted or coated where they grind.

Bare metal, by design.

Many grinders are painted or coated inside, and coatings can chip. The Flagship and the Low Profile grind on bare stainless steel, and the Transparent Chamber on bare, uncoated aluminum, so there is no coating to chip or flake.

A lid that stays put.

A rare-earth magnet holds the lid in place while you grind and between uses.

Precision-cut teeth turn against each other for a coarse to medium grind.

How it works

Fill. Twist. Collect.

Three steps. Here is all it takes.

  1. The Flagship open from above on a walnut table, its lid beside it and the teeth in view.

    Fill

    Open the lid and add a small amount between the teeth.

  2. Two hands twisting the Flagship.

    Twist

    Close the lid and twist. A few more turns give a finer grind.

  3. The Transparent Chamber closed on a leather desk pad, its chamber in the warm light of a brass desk lamp.

    Collect

    On the Flagship and the Transparent Chamber, the grind gathers in the storage chamber below, ready when you need it; on the Transparent Chamber, you can watch it fill. The Low Profile has no chamber: lift the lid and use it straight away.
